Girls Rule!

Madison and her friend, Amber, have been taking turns spending the nights at eachother's house. I am so glad she has found a friend that she enjoys hanging out with. They spend most of their time watching 'High School Musical 1 & 2', dancing to their music on their MP3 players and playing Bratz dolls. Already at the age of 6 (Madison) and 7 (Amber), they are oogling over Zach Effron and other boys at school. Ugh, I'm in for it!

Singing to "No One"

My cousin, Latisha, had a birthday party for her son Elias on Sunday. All of our kids sang along with Alicia Keyes' song "No One", and my neice, Aaliyah, provided the dance moves.

High Country Window & Door

The company Lee works for was recently featured on a segment called Colorado & Company on Channel 9! His friend/boss/owner of the company, John Schwader, along with a Marvin representative are on the following link: http://www.9news.com/COCO/video/clients.aspx?OSGNAME=COCO&IKOBJECTID=c9d40d4a-0abe-421a-0109-d44c9b0e1815&TEMPLATEID=e3bf2c3f-0abe-421a-00f6-a22d9adbf9bd

"Two tickets please"

Last night Madison and I had 'girls night out'. We started out the evening at Madison's new favorite restaurant, Red Robin. After a delicious meal, we headed out to see the Nutcracker. Though I've seen the Nutcracker many times, this was Madison's first time and I was anxious to see what her reaction would be.

With her eyes wide and a smile from ear to ear, she gazed at the beautiful ballet dancers spinning and floating across the stage. She laughed at the rats shaking their tush to the chime of the grandfather clock and snickered at the boys fighting with their swords. During intermission, I treated her to some lemonade and brownies and bought her two stuffed animals in tutu's. One a pig, whom she named Pinky, and the other a frog, whom she named Rosabelle.

In Act II, the young lady and the Nutcracker enter the Kingdom of Sweets. Sugar plum fairies dance before them and after each one, Madison claps in excitement. By the end, Madison is leaning on my arm, fighting off sleep. She is too tired to stay after the play and get autographs from the dancers so we leave. It's snowing terribly on the drive home. Madison is too tired to answer any of her Daddy's questions. She slips on her new 'footsie' frog pajamas and falls asleep. By morning, she is at my bedside talking her Daddy's ear off about our little date and about all the pretty ballet girls, spinning on their toes and leaping through the air.

My next date is with my boo boo, Andrew. I'm taking him somewhere I can shoot a paintball gun at him! I can't wait!

Museum of Nature & Science

I just wanted to post a few pictures of our trip to the Museum of Nature and Science. We went late yesterday afternoon and did a quick run thru of most of the museum. Lee and I want to go back to see the Titanic exhibit. It started in June and runs till January but is sold out most weekends so we are planning to ditch work and see it. I'll probably be teary eyed after I get thru it. I went with Andrew about a month or so ago to the museum on his school fieldtrip and watched a documentary which started on the wetlands in New Orleans and the importance of maintaining them. However, while filming, Hurricane Katrina hit and it showed the devastation and destruction that swept the city. I tried my best not to cry because I was surrounded by a bunch of 4th grade boys. I plan on bringing some tissues because I'm sure I'll end up crying...Darn documentaries! They get me every time!
